The Illegals with Niamh Kavanagh 4

Having crafted their sound for over fifteen years, the Illegals serve up a terrific night of unforgettable songs and real entertainment.  The band features the vocal talents of Irish Eurovision winner, Niamh Kavanagh who is one of the top female vocalists ever to emerge from Ireland. Their ‘Common Thread’ show sees Niamh and the band at their very best with a superb set from ‘The Eagles’, ‘Fleetwood Mac’ and others from the West Coast sound. It highlights the extraordinary effect that these two great bands have had on the music of the last forty years.  ‘A Common Thread’ is a thrilling night of vocal harmony, ringing acoustics and rockin’ guitars featuring timeless classics from Poco (Rose of Cimarron); Linda Rondstadt (You’re No Good); Neil Young (After The Goldrush) and others, as well as all the top favourites from ‘The Eagles’ and ‘Fleetwood Mac’ such as ‘Hotel California’, ‘The Chain’, ‘Desperado’ and ‘Dreams’.

RTE have described them as "Outstanding - The Rolls-Royce of Irish Rock” and The BBC commented "Simply Stunning”.  Accolades such as these affirm the esteem in which they are regarded.

This will be ‘The Illegals’ third visit to the festival, testament to their huge popularity.  Their appearance will be eagerly awaited by their many fans.
