Reel It In

‘Reel It In’ came together as a group to play support to the Mike McGoldrick Band for the Open House Festival in June 2011. Due to positive feedback the lads decided to remain together and have since played support to the Máirtín O'Connor Trio; Dave Munnelly Band; The Henry Sisters; Karen Casey and John Doyle; Sí Van Trio; Lumiere; Alan Kelly Gang; Eddi Reader; Bruce Molsky; Casey Driessen and Four men and a Dog on several occasions. They have also toured extensively throughout Europe in recent years. The lads have featured on Lynette Faye's radio programme 'Blas' and also TG4's ‘Geantraí’ as well as other television and radio performances. They have also performed at the Ballyshannon Folk Festival; Feile Oriel Festival; Fiddler’s Green; Celtic Fusion; Geordie Hanna Weekend; Baltimore Fiddle Fair; Feile Patrick Byrne; the Frankie Kennedy week in Gaoth Dobhair and the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention where they won 'Battle Of The Bands'. More recently they also won the 'An Re Nua' competition. They are currently working hard on their debut album which will be released within the next couple of months. The band have been described as 'Young, Exciting and Creative...' and features the talents of Niall Murphy, Co. Armagh on Fiddle; Ciarán Hanna, Co. Tyrone on Concertina and Whistles; Niall Hanna, Co. Tyrone on Guitar and Vocals; Eamon Rooney, Co. Down on Bodhran and Enda Rafferty, Co. Tyrone on Keyboard.
